When I was around 13 years old, my parents bought my sister a guitar at a garage sale for $5.00 (and it was worth exactly that much). I had one friend who was taking guitar lessons and he showed me three chords. That was it! I spent hours in my room playing that thing. My Mom had to drag me out to eat dinner.
Now, my favorite musical endeavor is song writing. I love the creative process of taking those 12 notes and a few words to create something that has the potential to communicate with God and/or other people in a meaningful way. I am personally moved by music and I try to write songs that will move others. I guess you'll let me know if I get it right.
