Artist Profile

I enjoy leading worship, songwriting and working with artists to help facilitate them achieve their goals. I have a slight entrepreneurial bent as well.

Influences:

I love God, and He's my main influence. I endeavor to stay under His influence to make it through each day. I also enjoy music and have as far back as I can remember. My musical influences are many and varied. I had some friends in high school I jammed with and I learned much from playing music with them. Who we listened to really shaped me musically. I love old Yes, ELP, Allman Bros (particularly with Duane Allman's playing-my all time favorite guitarist). There are several bands from the 80s and 90s that I like such as Night Ranger, U2 and Starship. I also listen to lots of Christian music nowadays and enjoy artists like Chris Tomlin, Delirious and Tree 63 (among many others).

My first experience playing in a worship team was in 1982. I have been very involved with worship since then. I am basically a weekend warrior musician.

It seems that in whatever circle of friends I happen to be hanging out with throughout my life, there have almost always been songwriters in the mix... songwriters and worship leaders.

Instrument-1: Instrumentation the Lebo worship project is as follows: Pete Welty is on vocals (he has some of his songs on this site as well), Ron Friend is on keys, Tim Beverly is on drums, Dan Green is on bass and I'm on guitars. I wrote the songs posted here.
Instrument-2: On my home studio stuff, it's me on everything (programed drums), with the exception of Tim Beverly on drums for Psalm 130.
Instrument-3: I'm figuring out how to work a drum machine.
Recording Story :

I've done more independent recording over the last few years. One project was a worship album. I have been working on my songs at home for the past couple of years.

The songs I recorded at home I used a Zoom MRS 802  and it has been a great little investment. I used my Strat and a Takamine acoustic my dad bought for me in 1977. I borrowed a Fender Bass and a Shure SM 57.

Status: Thanks for visiting my page. Check the out the rest of the artists on the site and remember to tip generously. It takes a lot of time, energy and resource to create music so that other people can have some idea what's been rattling around inside an artist's head.
